I'm interested in this M64 cal. 30-30 made in 1952, the guy want $475 for it but the price is negotiable, here are some pics, I know the front sight hood is missing.
Buster, if You didn't buy that 64 could You post the contact info on the classifides as I'm sure some other Levergunners would be intrested in a Hunter Grade Model 64.
If the bore is better looking than the outside, I'd try to knock a few quid off the price and go for it! Provided of course, you're lookin' for a shooter and not a safe queen.

I don't need one as I bought mine here five years ago on a tip from a fellow Levergunner who put it on the classifieds (Thank You Levers) ..anyway there are alot of Levergunners from Canada who would surely enjoy a fine rifle at an afforadble cost.
2 years from now the money will be gone. If you buy the rifle, at least you will remember where your money went For what it worth I would buy it in a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!!
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!
The $850 gun is overpriced. The sling swivels are after market and detract from the gun considerably. It's "real time" value is more like $550, tops. I bought a VERY NICE 1947 Model 64 from a fellow forum member for a lot less that.
"Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damage morale, and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled or hanged"....President Abraham Lincoln
I will probably buy the $475 rifle but I need a front sight hood (an original not a repro), anybody has an extra one for sale? I'm in Canada but I'm sure it's not a problem to ship one here.
The cheapest 64 I have seen around here was $575. It had a 64 barrel, a 94 straight stock and lever, and was obviously cobbed together. The only other ones I have seen were a deluxe model in excellent condition for about $1200, and a decent one at Cabellas for $850.
