I'm feeling another range day is in order. 8)
Actually think I will dust off and use a lever today.
Going to be in the low 90's, way to hot to Dove hunt. :(

Same situation here. Heading to the range in a couple hours with my kid. Too nice a day to do anything productive.
Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you somethin'. That ain't an optical illusion, it only LOOKS LIKE an optical illusion.
My mind reader refuses to charge me . . . .

Not me, I'm stuck at work. Worse yet is business has been really slow the last couple weeks and that makes for loooong days. Enjoy your range day!

A great morning at the range. :D

Weather: hazy hot & humid.

Gun: Savage model 99C .308 cal.
This is the first Deer rifle I ever owned. I bought it new when I was 14 yrs. old.
Took 3 yrs. of saving money from allowance and summer time lawn cutting jobs.
Got my first Doe & buck with this rifle. It has been re-slinged and re-scoped
a few times over the yrs.

Ammo: Winchester 150 gr. PP

Results:
Pictured are my 3 shots at 100 yrds.
Also shot at 50 yrds.
Hit the steel plate out at 200 yrds. several times,
(no misses, I love the sound that steel makes on a solid hit)

I had planned on a range trip today to do some sighting in but the wind is really howling here today (warm though) so I put it off for now :(

That Savage is on and it is way cool you didn't let it get away over the years. It looks to be in fine shape as well.

Thanks Dave,
Wish I would not have pulled the first shot on the 100 yrd. target though.
The target would have looked a little more impressive.

Believe it or not, I still have the sales receipt. 8)
I bought the rifle the evening of Oct. 1st. 1975
Price: $134.95
Tax: $8.10

Thanks Roofuss,

200 yrds. is max. at this rifle range.
Looking at this picture the first row of target frames are at 50 yrds.
Second row 100 yrds.
third row is 200 yrds. And the little round steel plate is laying in
the dirt bank to the right side. (hard to see, very hazzy this morning)

There is also a 25 yrd. pistol range down and to the side of the clays range.
