Same situation here. Heading to the range in a couple hours with my kid. Too nice a day to do anything productive.
Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you somethin'. That ain't an optical illusion, it only LOOKS LIKE an optical illusion.
My mind reader refuses to charge me . . . .
Gun: Savage model 99C .308 cal.
This is the first Deer rifle I ever owned. I bought it new when I was 14 yrs. old.
Took 3 yrs. of saving money from allowance and summer time lawn cutting jobs.
Got my first Doe & buck with this rifle. It has been re-slinged and re-scoped
a few times over the yrs.
Ammo: Winchester 150 gr. PP
Results:
Pictured are my 3 shots at 100 yrds.
Also shot at 50 yrds.
Hit the steel plate out at 200 yrds. several times,
(no misses, I love the sound that steel makes on a solid hit)

Thanks Roofuss,
200 yrds. is max. at this rifle range.
Looking at this picture the first row of target frames are at 50 yrds.
Second row 100 yrds.
third row is 200 yrds. And the little round steel plate is laying in
the dirt bank to the right side. (hard to see, very hazzy this morning)
There is also a 25 yrd. pistol range down and to the side of the clays range.
