I felt the same way. After looking at the "deluxe" 1894 & 336 I just closed the page.

looks like the 375 H&H is in the lead with 80% this morning.

I'd kinda like to see some 25-35's and 32-30's again.

I voted for the 375 H&H. A lever gun in an old traditional African safari magnum chambering just sounds so cool. I just wonder how in the world they can pull it off. If they do it, I hope it maintains a traditional levergun appearance. That would be a dream come true!

It makes you wonder if they are planning to purchase the rights to reproduce the Savage 99.

You know, a 358 Win levergun would probably be the ultimate for North America. Maybe get the 308 and have it rebarreled.

Get real, a levergun capable of handleing .375 would be LONG & Massive, completly negating the " handleing " virtues we find so desireable.

That's right!
You would need a length of pull of about 6 inches just to work the action!

I voted for the .308. I have been looking for a Savage 99 in .308 for a year and unable to find one for a reasonable price. My Brother found one for $400.00 that is is nice shape. If marlin's PP is in the $750.00 range that would be an attraction for me. I'll pay the price for a new piece, but not a pre-owned , un-known Rifle.

Yeah, because the .405 Winchester, .300 Win Mag and others all chambered in leverguns are SO tiny.......

The Savage, BLR and Winchester 95 managed to keep the good handling yet chamber very large rounds.

I can't imagine any tubular-fed action using the 375 H&H but it could be detachable magazine fed rifle like a BLR for all we know. Any action that could handle the venerable 375 could also handle the 460 S&W most likely. So, I voted for the 375 just to further development of the lever action rifle. I have a very nice BLR in 358 that is actually pretty slick in its action thanks to Mic's touch. Best trigger out of any of my rifles.

Wonder what would happen if they necked down the 450 Marlin to .375" diameter? Wouldn't be the 375 H&H but it would have some "thump" to it. Load it with a 275gr Leverevolution bullet. I can taste the elk roast now :)

What they really need to make it in isn't some puny .375 H&H... :|

Instead, go for the .358 BOS Magnum - 225 grain .358 bullet at 3,700 fps -   - http://ammoguide.com/?catid=684
