Re: Two 22 lr ammo questions
Rimfire ammo is a holdover from the beginning of cartridge development. It's just not the best way to make a cartridge but it is economical . I agree if you're talking about plinking/hunting ammo, but not match ammo. I guarantee as you double the price per round the QC improves to the point of weig...

Re: Two 22 lr ammo questions
CCI ammo, in my experience, is the cleanest. Remington is the dirtiest.
The same applies to both manufacturers QC......hence the Remington "Thunderdud" reputation.

I see some cool stuff on my job
I'm a commercial pest inspector. I see some really cool "pest" stuff. Bed bugs to bats. I was doing an inspection at new structure, on a family owned hop farm/processor. 100 acres has been in the family since 1906. The newest family member that is operating it has created the coolest, indu...

Like any other receiver sight the knob on the end of the bridge is windage and the one going into the base is elevation. The big screw on the side of the base is for tension while going up and down or to allow you to remove the bridge.

I looked at that one a couple of times also while doing my rounds. Glad you got it.
Everything I was really interested in was priced way above what I was willing to pay and the dealers didn't want to budge more than 5%.

You buy junk it stays junk.
Think of the money and time you need to put into it so that it becomes a shooter. If you just spent that amount of money up front you could have an original condition shooter.

You found the reason I switched to N110 from 2400. Higher velocities if needed and a whole lot less flash, blast, and soot.

I had an XDS in 45 and got rid of it for the reasons you mentioned. Too bulky and heavy . I still tuck my shirt in.

If you bought a Winchester rifle today, made exactly like it was in 1950, you would probably pay from $1400 (current Miroku price range) to $4000 (Big Horn Armory price range. Those inflation calculator flawed. Location and need is everything. You're probably going to be close, but this is an origi...

I've been playing with it for the last 2 days. It does not like 2400.....surprised me too. 3" five-shot groups was the best it would do at 50 yards. The closer to max I get with 4227 the tighter the groups get. Pretty impressed so far. I'm at 9.5gr right now, so I'll try 1/10 increments up and ...
