#56 Lyman Adjustment

Post by daisygordoninc »

I have a Winchester 71 that has a Lyman 56, I don't know how to adjust it,
There are several nobs, don't know which one is the release. Has anyone

Like any other receiver sight the knob on the end of the bridge is windage and the one going into the base is elevation. The big screw on the side of the base is for tension while going up and down or to allow you to remove the bridge.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

Thanks, that seems pretty simple, just didn't have any experience with this type of sight.
Hope to kill a moose or bear this fall up in BC with my 71 .348.
