Usually have a Lead bullet load and a jacketed load for most but not all . I have owned 5 different .243 rifles over the years but have only ever used one load in them all.

Currently only have two but have owned a bunch over the years . I have a first year (1913) Winchester model 1912 pump and a Remington Sportsman 48 . Had my dads late 50's 870 but gave it to my oldest son.

My pap died in 1990 and would have been 115 this year , he's the one that taught me about guns and reloading .He was my dad's father . My mothers dad , my papa would have been 131 this year. He died the day after my third birthday .

Anyway, I've been told that this vintage of Winchesters used metal that may not be weldable, truth or myth? Tried the Wnchester 150 factory loads and found them to be a waste of time in my rifle . There was a reason they dropped them long before cutting back to the 200 grain load only. I'm betting you will like the Speer bullets though . I have never had any 150 GN 348 bullet group well in my 71, results...
