Bill, this is what I did to make QL match the physical PressureTrace II test results. Technically I upped the pressure to 11,000 psi for a MAX load. Re: Anyone out there with Quickload?
Boy there is a lot of data measured by Quickload! Too much in my book. I can get the pressures to match my pressures but I mainly have to tweek the H2O and initial powder burn settings. So basically in order to get QL to work "properly" you still need an accurate, actual pressure tested, ...

44-40 True Accuracy and Range
I wasn't sure how long it would be before I would be able to shoot a current 300 yard target, so I decided to just use the one from 2022. However, below are some 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300 yard targets that proves that the 44-40 can be more accurate and powerful than most people think, when loaded cor...

That's very useful expansion over 36 grains of Swiss FFg. The late Mike Venturino and others have mentioned the thinner case neck on the .44 WCF vs the .44 Magnum as being more delicate. I have not yet loaded enough of the former to have any issues with the brass, but have used mostly Starline. Yes...

I think the difference would be more noticeable using expanding jacketed bullets. I agree the 44-40 is under appreciated, but implying it is just as good maybe counter productive. From the previously posted photos, I am using an older circular clickless dial mount. This 32 click mount works well for me but I can barely get to 300 yards with the 1,350fps loads. I actually stretched the plunger spring slightly to get enough retention. The newer square 25 click (clickless) mount...
