An older friend of mine brought over a box of older loading tools. Said he has had them laying around for years, never thought much of them. He asked me what they might be worth as he is thinning out his possessions. Winchester & Ideal 32-40, 38 S&W loader & moulds + odds & ends. Any...

So, I shot my new to me B92 .44 Mag with Winchester 240 grain JSP ammo. Grouped fairly well for me at 50 yards but about 6 inches high with my rear sight fully lowered. Do older Winchester carbine sight blades interchange or am I going to have to get creative? I think I have a few laying around. Tha...

Winchester 92 Issue
I have a Win 92 takedown 32-20 from the 20's. It is sometimes leaving the fired case in the chamber. Maybe 1/3 of the time.
My guess is the ejector but when it does eject proper, it launches them far enough that they are hard to find. Any ideas? Thanks.

Tried the Hornady 218 Bee Ammo
I thought I'd give the new Hornady 218 Bee ammo a try today. Haven't shot the Browning 65 in a while. Fed & fired fine. I tried it at 50 yards sitting in the dirt elbows on knees. I have new Hornady brass to load so I'll not send too many factory loads downrange. Keeping some for comparison purp...

Correct Sights for Winchester 1894 circa 1906
I have a Winchester 1894 32-40 made in 1906. 26" nickel steel oct. barrel. The sights on it don't look correct to me. If I wanted to find factory original standard front & rear sights, what would I be looking for? #22 certain letter code rear? Thanks.

I have one of the 9mm versions that take the 92 mags. Fun gun. Surprising accuracy at 50 yards. I put an Ultradot sight on it.
I take a disabled nephew shooting on a regular basis. It is his favorite. Manageable for him with one hand.
My only complaint with it is a long heavy trigger pull.

Thanks for the response 6. I was shooting at 50 yards & it was cloudy today. I was using factory loads. Maybe I'll load up some with some H4895 & attempt adjustment when I find a good load. I'll be needing to roll my own if I plan on shooting it much.

I have a CZ in 7.62x39. I like it. It shoots cheap Silver Bear into 1" groups & Hornady SST ammo into less. Nice crisp light trigger. Mild recoil & cheap to feed accurately make it not worth the time to reload for it. Any of my friends that shoot it want to buy it.

I stumbled across a Marlin model I hadn't seen before. It's a 336 Octagon, one of 2,414 made in 1973. 22" octagon barrel, straight stock, & of course, no safety. It reminds me of the newer Cowboy model that brings more than I care to pay. Oh, 30-30. Had to have it. Hope to shoot it in the n...

I appreciate everyones input. I have no intention of hotrodding my 38-55. I was under the impression (apparantly mistaken) that IMR 4227 was used for target loads in the 38-55 along with the 32-40. I'll probably buy some 5744.

It is not marked NS on the barrel top. I have not pulled the fore-end to see if it has NS there. I am assuming it is a black powder barrel being a 1905 vintage gun. Current data from Hodgdon does not show any 4227 loads. I guess I can email them, although I have not received a response yet to a ques...
