Thank you Hobie. This is hard to take, he seemed like a real good man.I always enjoyed his post especially during deer season and his wife's deer kills with her Savage 99. Will you post this news in a seperate post so all will know about him?

I feel badly about this as I had a feeling something was wrong but didn't follow up aside from sending e-mails.

Sad to hear. I wonder if anyone feels like I do, that this community could do something for the families left behind. No amount of money could bring back a loved one but I'm thinking some sort of expression, supported by the members willing, could be sent from the classiest group of people I have ever been a part of.

Re: just because,bufboy
I think, as we approach the first anniversary of his passing, that a card shower MIGHT be appropriate. Mrs. Koch's address is a POB and so it might be safe for her as well. Any comments?
Sincerely,
Hobie

I would be happy to send one from us to her. Would be happy to hear from those who would want to add comments to the card. Thoughts?

Re: just because,bufboy
Yes. All participants would send a card, individually, to the family timed to arrive at about the same time. I don't know if this is a good thing, it is a suggestion since we all missed his death last year.JerryB wrote:Hobie are you meaning a volume of cards?I would really like to send one from my family as well as a group card, just let us know. Re: just because, bufboy
My only concern would be a possible detrimental effect from a deluge of cards to a possibly traumatic event.

Should we possibly pick one person to send the "first" card with the links included in it. Wait for a reply before sending the rest of our condolences to prevent undue stress? Does this sound like a plausible option?
