I thought I'd give the new Hornady 218 Bee ammo a try today. Haven't shot the Browning 65 in a while. Fed & fired fine. I tried it at 50 yards sitting in the dirt elbows on knees. I have new Hornady brass to load so I'll not send too many factory loads downrange. Keeping some for comparison purposes. Nice of Hornady to help us levergunners out.
Looks like Hobie's load of 18 grains of IMR 4227 & a 260 grain cast 38-55 load is a little better in the old 1893 Marlin.
I had to read your post twice before I finished the last line, I was thinking how the heck did he get 18 gr of IMR4227 in a BEE case!? I run 13 in my Bee and I know another 5 ain't gonna fit!
The Hornady looks like it's good enough for varmints.
I think your 3855 is ready for making venison!
