Nice looking Marlin. I have a 1969 Marlin in a 35 Rem. It is my goto rifle for deer hunting here in Wisconsin. Again...very nice.

Badgers AND Woodchucks are protected in Wisconsin....darn.

I have 4 daughters..NO grandchildren. (I'm 68) I do have 2 nephews who do not hunt. My only option (now) is to gift to my first wifes nephews. They hunt and fish alot. Time will tell.

I too will be hunting in (SE) Wisconsin this weekend. I will be using my Marlin 336....35 Rem.

It sounds like a few of you guys here might be a little anti Marlin. I have owned most all lever action rifles and Marlin IMHO, is the best there is. I currently own two Marlin 336's. One in 30-30 and the other in 35 Rem. BOTH are excellent rifles that are extremely accurate and function flawlessly....

I use 3031 for my 30-30 and my 35 Rem. Use 4064 for my 30-06.
