OT-Boise Cabela's

I am not sure if this is old news or not, but I wasn't aware of it. I was down at the Boise VA earlier this year for a bit. One weekend I went to the Cabela's, just looking around taking it in as it was the first time I had been to one. I did a circle around the place. Nearing the checkout counters ...

Hate the Henry?

I've noticed little said about the newer Big Boy rifles under the brand of Henry around here. Is their a silent protest against them I'm not aware of? I have one in 45 Colt. I used it last year with a RCBS 45-270 last year to take a deer. I was impressed with the smoothness of the acti...

Since I started sizing to .452 with the Lee sizing die and putting on a second heavier coat of liquid Alox. I have not had a problem in four Blackhawks. I use 2400 and Bullseye. The 2400 loads are heavy. EDIT- The heavy 2400 loads are used with Keith type bullets with a large lube groove that I fill...

I just got my RCBS Keith 255 today. I lubed with a Lyman luber/sizer at .454, then with a Lee .452. The original Ideal-Lyman single cavity was cast about 6 years ago. I like the new design. Just a thought, what if you extended the portion where the finger grooves are a half inch to allow for a positive lock up of the lever. It would act like the addition at the bottom of beaver tail grip on a 1911. The finger grooves still could be added on to the extended portion.

In the 80's they fitted you in basic with a color coded plug, by size, for your ears. You were given a light olive colored case that held them and the lid acted as a holder for base of the plug to insert them in your ear. The holder had a beaded chain with a dog tag like release that was to go under...

Fantastic, thank you. I don't know if my line of reasoning was correct but I thought I could go near these loads after comparing case capacity for a 44 mag and 30-30. Seems like pressure would still be well under 40000cup.
