Hi Val,

I'm a newbie so I don't know if you have posted pics of the rifles before, but could you now? I'd appreciate it. BTW, nice shooting. Small groups are a beautiful thing. If extracting spent shells are too much for you I know someone with little fingers. :)

Regards,

Troy

Thanks! It's a great bunch of guys here. I lived in SD as a little boy from 1966-68, also Chula Vista. Was there a few years ago for my brother's Navy retirement. What a great town. I saw a cool old car museum in the French Quarter (is that what it's called?) We had dinner at that place where the wa...

That's amazing. I had an episode where I stepped by accident into a nest of those ground nesting yellow jackets, only 1 got me, it was enough. My hand looked like a small boxing glove! :x

Hi Larry,

Thanks for the welcome. One of my hunting partners graduated from Mich Tech. I heard some stories of the snow there, beats the puny 100 inch average we get here.

I'm not too familiar with Standish other than it has a prison there, been through it on the way up US23. I used to go smelt dipping years ago south of Standish, but the numbers of smelt have dropped to the point that it's not really worth the effort anymore.

Junior,

I agree, I did not want to subject any of our dialed-up friend to long load times. BTW I enjoy your articles on 30-30 cast bullet loads. :D

My Dad used to take my brother and me out into Saginaw Bay back in the mid 70's to fish Perch, catch 'em 2 at a time on Perch rigs, what great fun.

wcf3030.......

I do most of my Hunting over by West Branch, I own a piece of property over there. And I was not aware of the perch fishing over to Elk Rapids, just a half-hour from where I sit. Just my preference, but i'd take a fat perch over a walleye any day!

Thanks for the welcome.

It's good to have a team that you can count on to be there or near there every year. I've been a Tigers fan even when they were losing 119 games! But a fair weather fan i'm not. Go Sox
