Re: Loads For My Mini-Mountain Gun
I bought a 3" 625 in 1989, and have put several thousand full charge 45 acp loads through it over the years, and it's as tight as the day I got it. They are after all N frame guns and quite beefy. I did a mild action job on it early on, and on several occasions have cleaned the clocks of more t...

Re: Weaver PIVOT Mounts, zero v see-thru
I had them on a Whitworth Express in 375 H&H magnum. They were very durable and still returning to zero when I sold the rifle 5 years and a couple of hundred rounds later. I have a set on my workbench right now, but haven't decided what (or if ) to use them on. In truth, most scopes have gotten ...

EXCELLENT ! Thanks for sharing that.
Of course, now you realize this will drive the prices up, people will start hoarding, and the supply will dry up.

Re: Cast bullet loads for the 300 Savage
After finding a good "meat" load for my 99, I've shot quite a few low / midrange loads for plinking & range use using Unique. Trail Boss gave good results, but never gave accuracy quite as good as Unique. The most accurate cast bullet load I've come up with is a 162 gr. RN/GC over 8.5 ...

Re: The First Recorded Case "The Knockout Game"
I'm still waiting for some good guys to be nearby when one of those pukes plays the "game", and grab him by the hair and beat the stuff out of him in defense of his victim. Think THAT will make the six o'clock news ? NAAH...

Re: How to get a good 25-35?
I'm in for two cents - Reline a 336. A couple of years ago, I realized I "needed" a 25-35, but all I could find were a bunch of tired, overpriced Win. Mod. 94's. I ended up taking a 336 I had picked up on the cheap ($200), and having it relined (about $180 at the time). It is probably the ...

Re: case lube
I've been using old fashioned castor oil for a couple of years now. Works great, and a 16 oz. bottle is about a buck at Family Dollar and will last forever. Did I mention I'm cheap? Works just as good as the Hornady stuff.
