Yes it is good to hear you are still here! With A zone ending on Sunday I was expecting the deer report with pictures of the big buck you got. You can write one for us next year. Get the jeep fixed so you don't have to walk and the permit to hunt from the vehicle and you can still hunt.

Re: Short and fat or long and thin?

The gospel is that short and fat is more accurate because more of the powder is closer to the primer and thus ignition is more uniform. Also short actions are stiffer than long actions. Does it matter to you and me? It certainly doesn't matter to me. I can get all the accuracy I need from long and t...

Kirk, we always want more! I thought about the filler too. I don't have any but I might try tipping the rifle to position the powder against the primer or bullet to see if that helps. Re: Range Report

The crimp might be a good idea. In fact Barnes recommends using a FCD with the 130 TSX/TTSX. I also rethroated the rifle while I had it apart. The SAAMI 30-30 throat is abrupt. It is cut at a 15 degree angle from the end of the neck portion of the chamber to the top of the rifling. SAAMI 30-30 cartr...

I went to the range this morning mostly to fire a couple rounds in my hunting rifle. It rained last week while we were out and I had to take it apart, clean it and re-oil it. The 375 uses the large threads too. Numrich has the barrel: http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Detail.aspx?pid=705070&catid=7512 . The barrels are Angle Eject and your 375 is probably top eject so a new extractor slot would have to be cut. That can be done with a hacksaw and file. All you need ...
