Re: Latest Lever Action

Win88 vs Finnwolf. I have owned two 88s, kept the carbine version. The 88 is a totally different beast to me. Just about as accurate as the Finnwolf (at least the 2, 308's I have shot). Trigger is total *&^!XX$, like dragging through mud with gravel compared to Sako's glass rod like break. The S...

348winchester, Jamison brass, worth the big$

Came across some of this, $174/100. Is it worth the bucks? With my 3x resized Winchester brass I am getting regular 3 shot groups in the 1.5" neighborhood at 100yds. Thanks!

Just loaded up 50 rds, what a PIA! You need little bitty fingers. How many sizings are you getting with non-max loads? I'm using 12 gr H-4227 45gr jacketed loads.

B.B., As for trimming, you do not have to trim as often as you say you do. I'll let them go 015-.020 before I trim. As the case weakens, you will notice a bright ring about 3/8" ahead of the rim. This means you are about to have a case separation. For more details on that, just check a good lo...

Big Bear, MM has it pretty good. About the only thing I can add is (I shoot the 348 extensively) watch how you resize the cases......in other words, don't push the shoulder back any more than what it needs to be in order to chamber. My 348 cases go on and on and on.....with cast bullets at 1600. If...

I'm up to 4th full length resizing on some 348Win brass. How many firings are you getting with your brass? I was thinking of retiring brass to cast bullet, (lower velocity/pressure loads) after this loading and neck size only. Thoughts from experienced reloaders appreciated.

I have put a Burris Fast Fire II on my Browning 71 carbine. What is best target type to use for zeroing this type of sight? I am shooting 348 winchester factory duplication load, Hornady 200grbullet, loads with H4831sc and IMR4895. Zero at 100yds or 200yd zero. Load is about 2500fps. Thanks!
