I arrived in CA 1986. Gas was 69cent/gallon. (Oh yes it was). I could work for 1 hour and fill up twice. 10 gallon tank.

243dave, Youmay not notice a decrease in mpg when you switch on your lights, but there is. Where is the extra power coming from to drive the geneator that little bit harder? What vehicles are getting another 10mpg? Rusty, I dont think so. California would love to get more taxes on anything they can....

150grn remington over a full load of W748. (work up to it). Winchester regular large rifle primers. Should group 5 shot at 100yds arond 3/4" or even better. I seat bullets out to maximum length that will cycle through the action. Try it without crimp.

bsp, A velocity of between 2000 and 2150fps with a 170grn bullet is more realistic and safer. That would be using w748 powder. I run my 307 win at 2400fps with winchester stated loads(170grn bullet). Barrel life in the 22-250 has been good for me. I dont use full loads of powder at max pressure or max velocity. I had a a tough time finding a really accurate load at max. WIN760 behind a hornady52HPBT at near max load is my high velocity accuracy load, but I prefer to shoot a mild load of IMR4064 ...

I like 10grn pf unique behind a 180grn cast in my winchester. If you have any green dot , it may be worth trying some. For me its a little more accurate, but being a slow moving load you may run out of elevation adjustment for longer ranges.

The ban applied to the 50bmg. Stupid really. To get around the ban all you have to do is shorten your sizing dies by 20 thou, trim 20 thou off the chamber end of the barrel,dismantle and resize all your 50bmg ammo. Just make sure it is impossible to chamber a 50bmg round into the firearm.

A thought just crossed my mind. I do not know if/who, is manifacturing copper bullets for the pistol calibers. I may be wrong, but as far as I can recall it is illegal to use copper solids in pistols or revolvers. Wasnt there something about cop killer bullets, that penetrate body armor? I dont know...

I dont think there is a quick way. You just gotta go through the motions and work up a load for the lead. If that powder does not work try the 2400 or unique.
