Had a ground squirrel run into the sidewall of my tire when I was driving by not a mark on it, no blood just dead.Went to look because I saw it in the mirror but felt no impact.Thought he had missed me.

Duracoat I think just cures over time (72 hours?). Been looking too,trying to clean up a much abused No4mk1 enfield,very little paint left on it and surface rust.Forearm curved to one side. Was kind of wondering about the Gas Barbecue for bake on stuff-might get in a whole lot of trouble trying that...

Have one as well-would like to lighten the wood finish as well ( very dark ) and get a better tang sight.Currently has a lyman no 2.All the talk about the trapper lenght ones has me lusting for another one.

Don't know about the hunts but the medford store is one of my must stop at places when I go to Grants Pass. I leave a little drool on the glass case acrossed from the gun counter every time because they have had some great looking sharps rifles there.

I may be completely wrong so this is just my .02 but I think pistol grip blr's were all aluminum.The bolt locks into the barrel not the receiver if that is part of what you are wondering about.Been awhile mine is growing dust in the safe

thanks for clearing that up El Chivo makes more sense.In that situation though I'd tend to be less concerned about the ammo just speaking for myself because all this time I've been putting away surplus ammo instead of reloading

I know that in the central coast we have at least one warden who is infamous and would if his rep is to be believed write that up in a heart beat. Why chance it-you would be left to prove it over the warden's report-not a good thing.

Just traded into a Northwest Trade rifle in .62 cal/20 gauge-if its not a .50 cal or inline around here very few people seem to know much about them let alone stock anything for them.I'm thinking a .60 cal round ball patched.ffg maybe.No clue when it comes to shot loading.

Do you ever have any problem with the snap wearing on the gun.Have one of those for a 5 and 1/2 inch.Doesn't seem to be a problem but I wondered.Like that belt as well. Amazing what people will let go for cheap think I paid 5 for mine but it needs some stitch work.

One of the reasons I liked to get off the logging roads and into the woods alone.Also like sitting for extended periods once I find a spot that appeals to me-if someone else is along they want to talk,smoke and so on.........Usually if I keep in mind where the sun is I am good for making my way back...

I always heard that you could use 410's in a 45-70 if that is so couldn't you use the 45-70 cases in a 410?Also one of the russian brands made 410s with brass cases but I would assume with berdan primers-had a few laying around will have to look.

Actually that does very good .It was one changed over to 308 and it functions and shoots well-wish I hadn't talked myself out of one of those.He wouldn't part with that one,it's a handy rifle for the caliber.

Bruce there is a little hole in the wall place in town here that had 32 brass just cann't remember if it was 32-40 or 32 winchester special but I'll check and let you know what I find one way or the other, may take sometime as he sets his time in the shop on his mood for the day.

If I remember correctly that was why they made such a big deal out of the TC Contender-it is legal to make a carbine but once you are there it is not legal to put it back to a pistol.Why we continue to put up with this nonsence is beyond me.
