Re: Back to carry positions
For self defense I have mostly carried a Lightweight Commander n 45ACP in a version of either IWB or OWB Milt Sparks holsters. And that's one reason I have carried the Lightweight Commander more than any other, is it carries well, even in the summer with an open front shirt and tee shirt, or under a...

I have not shot a factory load through any of my .45's in ... probably close to 30 years! I don't have anything against them. It's just that I have so many that I've loaded for myself. Back in the 1960's and early 70's I shot quite a lot of factory ammo. Winchester-Western Super X and Remington. I ...

I've got a Skinner peep sight mounted on the rear of my Rossi carbine where the safety would mount and another Skinner peep sight mounted on the rear of the receiver of my Mossberg 464 30-30. I like the barrel mounted peep. I have one on a Rossi single shot 22 and it is great. Plenty precise enough for squirrels. I would be very comfortable with this sight on a deer rifle. It's a great compromise if you don't want to D&T for a receiver sight. Yes, I believe it is a pretty good optio...

I was playing around with the Barrel Mounted Skinner Peep sight today, shooting the Heavy Buffalo Bore ammo out of my Oliver Winchester 38/55. You need to be careful about that doing that, because you can throw the Colt out of time and mark your cylinder .
