In my limited experience with my "Big Boy" carbine, it has no problem feeding SWC 's. Accuracy wise, it does seem to prefer gas checks.

I replaced the large loop on my "Big Boy" carbine with a standard loop.
The large loop is slower to use, gives no purchase in handling or shouldering the rifle and allows plenty of momentum for rapping the knuckles on fallow up shots.

As per my first post. The .32 Special can be successfully loaded with cast bullets and black powder. More to the point, modern powder or black, the .32 Special handles cast bullets very well.
