I try to carry some basic items just in case...... Jumper cables Leatherman multi-tool Surefire light Basic socket set with SAE and metric s...

Ah......I think the jokes on us. This was made in 1887 I'm sure. But I think it was a post card sold to " tenderfeet " coming west who didn't know any better. Cameras in 1887 did not quick enough shutter speed to catch a wolf fighting a rope and not blur...after 132 years those cowboys are...

Re: OT Need Help With '51 Navy BP Load
Well now my test has been stolen :o . In the Winter issue of Guns of the Old West I found a write up of this very incident, the Hickok-Tutt shootout. It seems Dennis Adler wrote a story in which he re-created the shooting. He used a replica '51 Navy from The American Historical Foundation, about $20...

Would anyone want to opine as to the type of bullet loaded in Wild Bill's '51 Navy when he made the 75 yrd shot across the town square, round ball or conical ? I have acquired a genuine Colt '51 Navy . It came with a mould for both round and conical bullets. I wonder which would have been more preva...

Winchester '92 Limited Series, Advice Sought
I picked up a 92 Win. in 32-20. When I ordered the rifle I didn't know it was a Limited Series, 1 of 500. I have #332. It is Jap made and my question is are these really that rare ? I want to shoot it ( thats why I bought it ) but I do not want to destroy a true collector rifle. My personal feeling ...

Re: Does anyone have experience with 260 REMINGTON?
As this is basically a 6.5x55 in a different form it works very well. I have a Ruger in 260 that I bought from a blowhard on the Ruger Forum that kept saying it would not shoot. After I repaired all the damage he had done it, I put factory Remington 140's in it and it shot nice 1.3 to 1.5 inch group...

Re: OT: Bersa Thunder 380 CC -- LOW Price & HIGH Quality!
I have to agree, during my tenure at our State Police Academy as a Range Officer/Instructor I observed several city and county officers use the Bersa as a back up. They shot great from 25 yrds and NEVER saw one jam..ever. I cannot say the same for the Walther PPK, Glocks or an occasional Sig Sauer.....
