Re: Levergun vs. Pumpgun- Muscle memory the same or not?

I did an experiment once. I used both a pump shotgun and an o/u to shoot clays, alternating which I used. I would sometimes instinctively try to pump the o/u or forget to pump for my second shot when not thinking about. However when using one or the other exclusively it has never been an issue.

Re: OT Are Marines "Soldiers"?

marines are Naval infantry or naval ground forces. Marines were originally used by the Brits for shipboard security, shoooting from the rigging into enemy ships, repelling boarding parties, etc. They also established beach heads for invasions. The US thought enough of it to establish their own. Lines ...

Re: It's been a rough week, need a little help.

My prayers are with your clan. Sometimes there is a secondary clot that can affect the brain I.E TIA or CVI . Also sometimes if cardiac output is insufficient brain profusion can be hindered. A lot of times these effects are temporary. I would imagine that in the upcoming days the CT scans and angio...

Re: Is there any cartridge that can't "do it all"?

I do just have to add that a 30-06 loaded with cast bullets and unique really is a very good squirrel round. I think any cartridge can do most things if you are willing to really get to know it and use a little imagination. I have hunted bunnnies with my 444 just had to be really sure about taking h...

Re: OT-reduced recoil .270 for deer: What do you think

That light load is in the same league as the 6.8 spc load. Should work just fine on deer. I mean the 25-35 has killed a lot of deer. Not flinching will definitely make an effective shot easier

I know Alpha precision will mill your vaquero and put S&W adjustable sights on for around 300 bucks. I would think there are other outfits that might be able to dovetail or mill that area flat and weld a bit of stock on there and cut in a dovetail for a higher profile rear sight.

one nice thing is that they revised the wind chill factor. Now the wind chill is 38 percent warmer than it used to be. It feels a lot better on these cold Minnesota nights to know it's not as cold as it used to be. lol. I wish they would have done it back when I used to ride a bicycle to work the gr...
