The barrel was removed and sent off to re-bore (that's what took so long). I'm not sure what the throats are cut at, but I remember Jack discussing it and they are cut so I don't get any leading like some other revolvers I've dealt with.

Thanks Earl, the Taurus 431 and 441 are built on the K-frame size with a full barrel lug and is a heavy gun. The 7.5 grain load in the 3 inch gun is a lot like a 9 or 10 grain Unique load in my Colt SAA 5 1/2 inch .45, a little slower recovery for the next shot. I am thinking that maybe 6.5 might b...

Good Job Grandpa! I have always noticed the front sight that comes on the Henrys. My Border Patrol buddy just bought one and he didn't seem to notice it but it screamed to me, especially after shooting the Browning BL22.

Grandpa just loads SAA safe loads to the upper end, out of the Rossi they have no problem putting a 255 Keith bullet clean through a 150# hog.

I received the new low swing safety for the FN Mauser, it is constructed differently than the original one. I am going to take the old safety and modify the bolt shroud on my VZ-24 so I can use it. Deer must die and I have the rest of the year to prepare, hogs better stay clear of me as well.

I went into a pawn shop to look for a Hi Point C9 and instead walked out with this:
