Drill a 1/16" hole crossways thru the smaller-diameter portion of the follower, for "pressure relief.."

Try Gun Parts or VTI Gunparts for a magazine spring..

There's no reason why such a conversion would not work.. You'd need a different (or modified) extractor for the larger rim, to go along with the .450 carrier..

Work out the case dimensions, and get a reamer and loading dies, and you're set....

The creeping loading lever was an innovation of one Mr. E. K. Root, and introduced with the 1855 Root sidehammer revolvers..

Root was Colt's shop superintendant, and the inventor of the horizontal milling machine, among many other machine tools used in gun manufacture..

There is nothing intrinsically wrong with the pressure developed by the .454.. The fault lies in the design/manufacture of the mechanism used to contain that pressure.. Rossi's "package" is inherently unsuited to the task, and always has been.. The '92 platform is only barely marginally ca...

SAAMI pressure limits for the .500 S&W are 60,000 psi.. Factory loads and most handloading data are usually held to the 50,000 psi range, for reliable extraction in DA revolvers.. BHA rifles weigh enough to ameliorate much of the recoil, and the stock dimensions are also a help.. It seems to me ...
