Re: OT How much voltage in a fence charger?

I just ran a hot top wire on an arena for a friend with a 30 year old Sears charger rated for a weed control. It's billed as good for 10 miles but the arena only took up 300' of 14 gauge, so it's good and hot all the way around. I had to trim some brush back to run the wire, so I would do a check-wa...

Re: Winchester LP, LR, and LR Mag Primers In Stock

Seconded. The last time Natchez had WLR & WLP I found out about it here and was able to put some on order.

So Thank You, a little late.

Re: Alliant 2400 Load Data

I always found that low Alliant listing interesting. In the end, I chose to go with the Lyman 48th and Hornady data for 240g jacketed. Like meanc 20.5 with an XTP or a SJSP have been the standard in my 1894.

Did make me feel better to see Alliant move right into the range of other data sources.

With a new little one at home my time got even more limited so I started taking my lunch and my hand press, hand primer, brass and primers to work. I eat at my desk and then go out and sit on the tailgate and size/deprime, bell and pri...

Re: 45-70 load with these bullets:

I worked up a 350g bevel base cast load from Alliant's online data for Reloder 7 and a 385g gas checked cast bullet in my 1895G. Settled on 45g for a 1770fps average and good accuracy, back off and work it up and you should be able to hit a good load. The advice given to look at the next weight up f...
