Good for you!
Hoping I can do that the second time around! We just celebrated our first in September.

I inherited several Winchester levers from my Grandfather. One was a button mag 92 SRC in 25-20. It was really beat up and there was nothing left of the bore. A fellow offered me a fourtune for it and I sold it. Needed the cash and sold the same guy some of my stuff. I didn't know until later that i...

I have and enjoy shooting both. That being said my Marlins will shoot circles around the Rossis. I had a pre safety 94c that locked up on me anytime I would shoot 38 spls. and would have to use a screw driver to push the stuck round back into the mag tube. All it probably needed was a new cartridge ...

:D 86 is a 45-70. That one belongs to my Dad but since he's off sailing around the carribean I thought I'd look after it  I stole that musket a few years ago at a show for $500. Has a Spanish Loyalist cartuche on the stock. The 95 rifle is 35WCF that belonged to my Granfather and the SRC is...

The 95 in 7.62x54r is one of my prized posessions. Sweet shooter and kicks like a Moscow Mule. That butt plate is a killer. I'd love to see an SRC in 7.62x54 and bring back the 303 Brit. And a shotgun butt! http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q128/2ndovc/100_0635.jpg Just for kicks a 92 in 45 AR or 1...

Nice stuff. Love the Stevens! I put this picture up a while ago. My Rossis are missing but that's most of my levers. I have a 39 LTD too that didn't make the picture. Sure are nice little rifles. Have had a run in w/ two black bears. They were both looking for food and i really didn't feel threatend but was very happy I was armed both times. The dogs let me know that they were there. Got in a big argument w/ a guy at a gun show once about that. He had a 92 Marked 32WCF and had it tagged as a 32 Special. I told very politely that 32WCF was not the dame as 32 Specal. He said I was wrong and should read up on Wichesters. I told him I would go and buy a box of 32 Spls and if he coul...

45-70s. While the Old man's off sailing aroud the Carribean
I get to Babysit!! and some others. The 1873 is almost mint w/ some case colors still on the breach block. My Dad bought it at a little gun shop for $12.00. The 1884 is also in great shape. My Grandfather paid $2.50 for that one W/ the bayonett!!! The SRC he bought @ 6-8 years ago. That one cost him...

Mike I put up nearly the same post about a year ago on the old site. I was out dirtbiking in NW PA and came across a doe with a shattered front leg. I wanted to put her down but had nothing more than a Swiss army knife with me. It was getting dark and I knew by the time I got back to my cabin and ba...

I've had abouta dozen 94s over the years. Right now i have three. a 9410, my Grandfather's 38-55, and a early 80's trapper I picked up at a show not a month before Winchester announced the closing of the plant. The 9410 is neat and works well but the plastic front sight base and marginal wood to met...

They funct...
