Re: marlin 44-40 cowboy
Thanks for the information. I load for a 32-20 so I am thinking this might be much different. What is the range for accuracy on the gun? 200 yard max?

Re: OT Opinions on United Sporting Arms Revovlers
What is the price they are asking? I have seen them all over the board. In excellent shape they are worth five to six hundred. If blued they should have the best bluing you have ever seen. Like a colt python. The action is also very smooth, like a custom gun. Must people describe them as a custom Ru...

Help with the 45-70
I just purchased a marlin cowboy in 45-70. I have never loaded for this round so I would appreciate some help with powder choices and bullets selection. I will just be shooting paper at first so no reason for any HOT loads.
Thanks

Thinking about a Marlin 1895 cowboy. What are you thoughts?
Thinking about getting a 1895cb. I have a 1894cb in 45 colt and love it. Why am I thinking about one? Just because I love the 1894 and the longer barrel and the 45-70 case look good. Please give me your opinions. Do they shoot well, can they be loaded down for target shooting, do they recoil like a ...

leading
What other questions could I answer? The bullets have been shot in a custom 44 mag, ruger blackhawk 3 screw and smith 19 also. I use a heavy crimp on the bullets. Also tried titegroup with the 44 and that did not help/

Price was about the same. I do like the 24" barrel of the limited but the look of the competition (case color). Was one better made?

Marlin 1894 cowboy competition vz cowboy limited
Found both a cowboy competition in 38 special and a cowboy limited in 357. I will probably plink and target shoot with this gun so hunting potential for anything bigger then a rabbit is not an issue. Price is about the same. Is one better then the other? what is your opinion?
