i beleive the 67 mm is the old 2 5/8" shell; and like 86er says it is okay in the 2 1/2" chamber. and i beleive most guns with 2 5/8 chambers do all right the with 2 3/4" shell which is the 70 mm , as long as loads are modest and equivalent.

an original marlin lever action 410 from the 1920's is my favorite assassinate the grouse gun; spends more time in my truck in the warmer weather than any other long gun. does a fine job on grouse.

of course you could fly in a couple of cabin tents and leave them there for when they are needed; likely would be making spike camps away from main camp when hunting anyway. it sure does stir the imagination on a snowy sunday afternoon!

Would like a 12 guage lever gun myself, my grand dad had a old lever gun in 10 guage if I remember correctly.
