will a 410 shell fit in the 450 marlin chamber

does anyone know? similar to trying the 410 in the 45/70, especially the short 2 1/2" shell. i have a reason for trying this.

It fits the .444 much better... and will actually extract (though maybe not eject) too...

Because of the "belt" cut into the chamber on the .450, when you fire the .410 shell it must bounce the rim into the belt void and makes it tough to extract. Needed to use a cleaning rod to knock out the spent shell.

'Course I had my buddy try it on his rifle, just incase it would damage it.
