will a 410 shell fit in the 450 marlin chamber
does anyone know? similar to trying the 410 in the 45/70, especially the short 2 1/2" shell. i have a reason for trying this.

Fit and function being two different things....
Presumably you have some .410 to measure, I can't find a drawing right off except for this one...

It fits the .444 much better... and will actually extract (though maybe not eject) too...
