Re: Another Mosin Nagant question
I have 2....a 91/30 and a M44.....you cant beat em for ruggedness and function. I found the safety a little cumbersome for deer hunting, but they are made to shoot. I think I paid a $100 each. The 91/30 had some wicked pitting in the rifling but with jacketed bullets it does ok. The M44 was shiny br...

Looks like something one would admit that they "won" in a raffle! I just can't find the beauty in this revolver.

Re: ammo questions.
Reloading with kids around just takes some creativity. I put up my rock chucker set and went with a Lee hand press. That way I can keep everything I need in one box. When I want to reload I can set up anywhere and put together some rounds quickly.

Re: What do you folks think of the fire sight front beads?
I like the way they "light" up....but I just couldn't bring my self to put them on a lever gun.....I'd go with a peep or ghost ring first.

Re: Blackpowder cartridges in a Rossi 92 / .44 Mag?
Thanks for all the replies....I shoot a .50-70 Rolling Block, so I know how to load BP rounds Correct. I do have a concern of the accuracy falling off though. It might be over come by wet patching the barrel after a few rounds to solve that. I did like the observations that most of the "crud&qu...

Blackpowder cartridges in a Rossi 92 / .44 Mag?
Has anyone fired black powder cartridges in thier Rossi 92 / .44? If so, how did it do? Im thinking of putting some BP cartridges together in a .44 special or .44 Mag case and see how it does.

I believe the limited models had a 24 inch bbl as opposed to the 20 inch standard.

Re: .35 Remington question
I love the .35 Remington...I shot my very first Deer with a model 14 Remington in that caliber....and Im planning on getting the Marlin336 in a .35 Very Soon! As far as scopes go....1) i agree that a scope takes something away from a lever guns lines and handling. 2) That said....When Deer hunting a...

Re: Can you/do you hunt with your leverguns?
I have hunted over the years with a variety of bolts, pumps, shotguns, muzzleloaders....however for the past decade I have exclusively hunted using leverguns. With the exeption of a couple of "special bolt actions" I have traded off the rest and retained a levergun or two for hunting purpo...
