Re: Took a trip too Duluth.
Missed ya Pitchy. I'm working 2 1/2 hrs. north of Duluth. I can't believe you didn't see a big ship come though the piers. Just a month ago there was a back log of ships to get in and there were up to ten at anchor out in the lake. The Irvin tour ship is too small to haul iron ore now. The big ship ...

Cool I've been looking for something where the windshield folded down though. CJ's seem the easiest to find. I thought a Samuri the lightest, but since I'm broke I got a near wreck of a Bronco. When I got it home I've found out it's worth a couple thousand in parts. I'm going to rebuild it anyway.

How can I see leading?
I've worked hard to get lead out of my 1873 Rifle 45 Colt. While developing loads I had thought I had a tight spot in the bore. It was lead and after a lot of cleaning, it shoots well. Other tan dirty patches, I can't say the I've ever really seen the lead in the barrel. Can it be seen without a bor...

Yes, you need to drill and tap. I've done three and as much as I try, in order to get the stem to stand straight virt. , I needed to used a copper shim under the left sides. Always the same, I don't know why , but you can't see the shim and they work great.

It's north of Hoveland, 1/2 mile from Canada. A land developer must have downed those trees and let them dry out, before hauling them away. It's very rugged country, big cliffs and lots of rivers and lakes. Good fishing too. I'm going to start a cabin for someone there in a few weeks. I'm building o...

Well we got there today. I'm not impressed. I know what most all the new guns look like and cost, I want to see used. I found a few older levers there, but they were a little far away to get a good feel as to what they were. Getting a closer look would require going back to the front of the store an...

Mostly they are ridiculous on pricing, but they must know their competition and are willing to deal. Setting up right next to Cabellas they will need something to offer or they won't be there long. My main interest is in used guns, so I'll be looking.

I don't like the idea much, but with my eyes what they are, I think I could sacrifice the '94 for this. Do I need to have it so high off the barrel? I'm not sure I've ever seen low mounted scopes. It's a Beretta Laramie 45 Colt. It shoots great. It's supposed to be a replica of a 1878 Smith and Wesson New Model Three, Target. Although S&W never made them in 45 Colt, but it works for me.

I paid $130 and that's plenty for them, but they're not all in good shape. I can't see that this one was ever shot. I have a Smith and Wesson, Hopkins and Allen and now this Iver Johnson.

One of the things that you guys have called to my attention is that chamber size is large in my 45. Soot is quite prevalent on cases. This leakage always shows on one spot. That must affect accuracy. Using large bullets probably helps in the barrel, but probably also helps expand and seal the brass....
