Sadly I think they are right.
PLUS - one big mistake Conservatives and Libertarians make is assuming that somehow when confronted with FACTS, that Democrats and Liberals will somehow change their minds.
They don't DO 'facts'.
They don't do 'history', or 'economics', or even 'math'. They do 'emotion', and they do 'virtue signaling'. The only concrete and tangible thing about Liberals and Democrats is that most of them are ultra-materialistic, and along with judging others by superficial things like race, gender, sexuality, and physical characteristics, they are really big on money - they judge others with it, and they evidently feel like as the only true measure of a person's life, taking from those with 'too much' and giving to those with 'not enough' somehow makes everyone better off. (Of course we aren't supposed to notice how often they kinda skim a little for themselves and their cronies while they are 'helping the poor'...)
