Well I found a 92 barrel at Gunparts. Thanks Tycer.
Now I need to know if the Winchester 92 barrel threads and pitch are the same as the 92 Rossi.
Any help on this one.

Ron,
Were it my gun, I'd simplify the whole deal and ship the rifle and the barrel off to Steve's Guns and let him do the work. Might cost a bit, but it would be done correctly.

Winchester barrel threads will be a standard american thread pitch. Rossi barrels will be a metric thread pitch.

Gents,
Are we discussing WINCHESTER-Winchester barrels, or are we talking about MIROKU-Winchester barrels? The Miroku-Winchester/ Browning 92 will have METRIC threads. They may even be Japanese Imperial Metric threads.

I guess I will have to wait till I get the barrel from gunparts next week. The add just showed them as Winchester 92 barrels in 44 mag. I am going to try to fit it to the Rossi I have that is in 44mag with a bad barrel.
Some one stuck" TWO" bullets in the barrel. I got this in a horse trade and just trying to make a good truck gun out of her that is safe to shoot.
