The Pietta-made Cimarron is finished nicely inside. No rough casting marks or boogers that I can find. The spring for the cylinder hand is a coil spring with a plunger a la Ruger. It goes in the top hole. Yes. I have put it in the screw hole. You don't do that often without learning to look.

and put it in. I have used Heinie springs for close to 30 years in my Colts and Colt copies.

I went with one of those wire springs in my USFA. I had to do a little fitting but so far I am quite happy with it.

Yes .. they can be to narrow but they are easily worked with and it usually does not take much of anything.Scott Tschirhart wrote: ↑Fri Jun 27, 2025 7:11 pm I went with one of those wire springs in my USFA. I had to do a little fitting but so far I am quite happy with it.

I installed one of those wire springs in my Uberti Flat Top Target years ago when the original flat spring broke. It's been quite satisfactory through a wheelbarrow-load of ammo.
