Jess is still keen helping me not only find the deceased but also letting me know one is operating an area! And of course, still loves squirrel hunting.

So Nath. A question for you. I know they have pretty much done away with horseback fox hunts. Are foxes becoming a larger problem for sheep herders?

Locally we pretty much eliminated coyotes. Then they outlawed poisoning and many types of effective traps. The results is a coyote return and all the problems predators cause in urban areas.

Hi
They were a problem when they did hunt from horseback. Like your coyotes Britain is awash with fox.
I had 86 last year and am after #23 this year.
It's just that they kill everything and some of us like a balanced flora and fauna! It also buys me total freedom on some lands.

Aloha Nath, good to hear you're educating them foxes on proper behavior around lambs. I would have thought a lamb would be too large a prey for a fox, but what do I know? I'm just an island bumpkin living on an island that has neither lambs nor foxes. I think you are the only person I know that still shoots a .222, and great accurate round. What rifle you using?

Thanks Jim.
It's a cz 527, nothing fancy. I adjusted the single set trigger so it's a single stage.
222 is still quite popular over here but 223 is king. Second place goes to 22250.
It's any new born lambs out at night they target, also any ewe that is down in labour they will pull at!

As smart as they look they are nasty!

Well done, Here I worry about the Mountian Lions (these two were 1/2 mile from the house) and coyotes more than the foxes. The state has reintroduced WOLVES to make it more exciting.
