Cool reminds me of device a friend and I built when we were still in school, the (arrow) was a broomstick with a Bowie knife attached with copper wire, we shot it into a Poplar tree and had a heck of a job pulling it back out

Doc, i'm planning to have a fishing bow and some fishing spears when voyaging. i wonder if that gadget would be a workable release on a spear gun?
