Pistol grip Henry.
Anyone know if Henry will ever bring out a pistol grip 22lr rifle. I have my Marlin 39 which I'm fond of but I need an excuse to buy a Henry. I can write or call Henry but am betting bottom dollar one of you gents will know.

Man, such an unfortunate name for a company... EVERY time some one mentions "Henry", I picture the1860 rifle thusly identified. And the cynic in me sez, "which was probably their intent."

Me too Griff…..we old heads think alike……why think your a cynic? …it’s obvious………..but it is a nice thing for an American gun company to make a breakthrough in a tough market….similar to Ruger.
When I was a youngster people would say, “ahhh, the Ruger company wants people to think “Luger”….remember that old timer?

They make nice looking rifles - I’d like one of the 17hmr’s just to have

Re: Pistol grip Henry.
That they do, but I just wish they weren't so heavy and patterned after the Marlins. They average about 1½ lbs heavier than the 92's and that's a lot when you're talking about a 6 lbs carbine.

My experience with Henry 22 rifles was 50/50. The goldenboy I had shot lights out. The carbine with large loop and the standard rifle was somewhat okay. Neither of them shot good.
That old saying "shoots better than I do" is almost a myth if you're in daily practice. At the time I could hit an empty shotgun hull at 25 yards offhand almost every shot, with a 22 rifle so capable.
