Re: Grizz.....

i am the rankest beginner, i have a tenor and the baritone. my hands are so hammered that there are chords i cannot finger even on the baritone. my fingers are weak in the downward pressing mode, although i can still handle an axe and adze and chisel.

not too interested in strumming, am trying to finger pick and arpeggiate (if that's a word) chords. i have new strings coming for the baby classical guitar, which may or may not improve the sound any. it's funny, for someone who is well and truly tone deaf, i hear some things i never thought possible, like dissonant sympathetic ringing. (if that's even possible)

i have some sheet music with tabs and notes, and i pick through the classic worship, bit by bit. it's a challenge to find out whatever i might find out. fortunately for humanity no one will ever be a victim of the Assault Uku.

Thanks for chipping in Ray

I think I found a clip of you (and buds) and your uke.....

I use the (d g b e ) a.k.a "chicago" tuning more than any other. Now that you have a working understanding of it you can instantly play the banjo after a fashion. A $150 pawn shop noise-maker with the short wild string removed and the remaining strings tuned to (d g b e) responds well to claw-hammer or cross-picking/strumming with a conventional guitar pick.

Thanks. That's Good stuff Ray. It's a steep hill.

I found out how easy it is to transpose a C major song to G major. I prefer the baritone tones.

someone in the baritone network pointed out that if you have a baritone you have all of them with a capo.

i hope i don't start accumulating these things

Thanks Ray.

right now it is all about coordination, getting the left hand and right hand to work together, doing unaccustomed things. it's a fun challenge. it's worship.
