I bought a Ruger 10-22 Takedown Rifle a few months ago to play with. I was waiting for a new .22 caliber Titanium suppressor to get out of ATF Jail to break it in. I picked up a Monstrum Illuminated AR Scope 2.5x7 power for it at $67 and put them together. Here are the first tests with different ammo at my range. The scope was sighted in at 25 yards on an indoor range using CCI Mini-Mags.
The range 125 yards by laser with the computer on for the drop angle winds gusting 10-20 MPH
The scope, rifle, and ammo I played with
The targets before I repainted.
I started with CCI "QUIET" and it did not cycle or was I able to hit any targets. Then CCI Suppressor 45 Gr HPs and even with gusting winds found that 2.5 mils down was right on at 125 yards. When I switched to SSS60 Gr it had the same impact point as the .45 gr and on the green target to the right gave me about a 3-inch group.

Nice setup. Looks like a barrel of fun, and a beautiful spot for it.
Re: New Ruger Take Down Rifle
Hey Paladin…..yea….i got one too and it’s one of those guns I plan on dying with……..definitely a keeper.
It’s no tackdriver but still good enough for beer cans at 100 meters. It’s a real deal quality gun and does not hiccup. LOVES CCI standard or hi-vel ammo which is all I shoot anyway. I put on a clean 1960’s Weaver K-4 on it

Like Sixer, I put a Weaver K4 on mine. It was a beater scope but works. On a quiet morning at work, I started launching 22s at a 600 yard gong. Finally hit it! I had to aim so high, the plate wasn't in the scope picture! I would shoot, and then aim down to see the dust and adjust. Took about 20 shots.
