Re: Old School still Rules!
1800 yards is a heckuva long way to try to hit with the old blackpowder babes if the wind is blowing the least little bit (which it obviously was here). In our BPCR shoot our farthest target is a 4X8 buffalo at 1200 yards. We give out a "pin" award for 10 straight hits at each range. Never been close to giving out a pin for the 1200 yard buff despite lots of good shooters trying for it.
Dang lot of fun trying though!

I believe I saw them before shooting ?Mod 94 30-30, 1,000yds?? But sure looks fun! Lucky here to find a place for 3-400yds, and it's always a long 4w ride too em.

Mark of "Mark and Sam After Work" is a truly remarkable shot. A Marlin Guide Gun at over 1,000 yards offhand, unsupported? A borrowed m94 with a tall sight double-sided taped onto the front of the receiver at 1100 yards? Wow!
