Primers!

Post by Griff »

I had logged into my Midway account and looked at ordering some primers last Saturday... but never completed the order. Sunday was my birthday and I went out to a cowboy action match, and except for having a problem with the AWA Lightning (.44-40) on stage one, pretty much a wonderful time, gotit cleared and it worked fine for the rest of the match. Got taken out for a wonderful birthday dinner by my son and got involved in doing some yard work yesterday and finishing up some laundry. Then, today, was puttering around the computer and found that half finished order for 5K primers... when I went to complete it, the price suddenly dropped from $439/case to $333/case, due to something about my birthday... Have any of you ever encountered this before? A FIRST for me! Certainly welcome, and nearly caused me to double my order... but 5K primers will last me a good long while!

I usually get an early every year around my birthday from Midway with "Special Birthday Pricing". Some deals are minor, but some times they are big savings!

Yep Midway does birthday pricing. Sadly on my birthday they are always out of what I'm looking for !

Yup on the Midway birthday pricing. I usually take them up on it, but this time around I just didn't feel like getting anything. For some reason I'm just losing interest in doing business with them. :?

Been dealing with them since they first opened their phone lines some thirty plus years ago. Their customer services, prices and item selections have changed over the years, still good, just not the same, and also since they caved to the ATF on the Polymer80 stuff. Again too, a lot of the stuff I'm interested in these days is either out of stock/on backorder or just not available anymore. I remember when they had Starline make a run or two of brass with the midway stamp on the heads some 25 years ago, still got some.

It’s even better when you can lineup birthday pricing with free shipping!
Still loading my “Midway” 44 Mag cases!
They also did “Keith” and “Texas” in 44 Mag still loading them too!
I never got any but think they did “Cooper” in 45 ACP and “Sharpe” in 357 Mag
