Words fail me.
How can it ever be construed that privately owned property can become a "public place" by virtue of (part of it) not being ones normal place of abode?

MSN? There’s a slant to that story and it’s a good guess every case was in Philly with a Soros paid for DA….plus, the shooters were most likely white guys with a job and own things…….that is something we talk about regularly…….if your a white guy with a job stay the hell out of Philly.

The area where I live is patrolled by State Police and we don’t have such absurdities. We have it good here…for now..—-006

Sixer, that’s pretty much what I figured the case was. It seems like most decent states, even including some on the coasts, are pretty normal, other than the big cities, where everything is backwards.

I think there are a little over 3000 counties in the United States and I read something like 42% of the violent crime occurs in just 31 counties.

You can guess which political party runs those, and the demographics (lots of untouchables).

Of course, then the “fact checker” people will say stuff like ‘red states have high gun crime’, except the gun crime is only in the blue cities in those red states.

I know around where I live 30 years ago or so I was walking down the county road at about 3 o’clock in the morning, carrying a semiautomatic 22 that had a light and laser sight on it plus an extended magazine and folding stock. All of that stuff was pretty risqué back in those days. I was also carrying a dead raccoon in my other hand. So I’m walking down the road to toss the chicken-eating raccoon I’d just shot out in the cornfield for the buzzards, I hear a car come up from behind me on this county road, that is normally deserted at that time of night, and it starts to slow down. Well, we don’t have gangbangers around these parts, so I knew that pretty much had to be a sheriff because nobody else would’ve stopped. sure enough, a County Mountie shows up and rolls down his passenger side window and asked me “Howdy fella; what’s goin’ on…?” I held up the dead raccoon by its rear leg, and said “Just going to feed the buzzards this raccoon I just caught in our chicken coop…”. Hearing that I didn’t have any drunken draw to my voice, he started to roll his window up, and then rolled it back down, and said “That’s a nice set up you got there on that Ruger 22. Just be careful and have a good night….”

We had a similar experience about 20 years ago when the sheriff came out to check out why there were people camping out in the private property behind our house. When my 12-year-old son and I met him in the driveway I was carrying an AR-15 and my son was carrying a Mini-14. We politely slung them over our shoulders, muzzle down, as we approached the vehicle, and when the sheriff got out, and we described where we had gone back in the woods to hear the voices he said “show me”. It was 300 yards or so back in the woods on a trail. I walked first, he fell in behind me, and he didn’t seem bothered by the fact that my son was behind him, carrying a “semi automatic military style assault weapon with a high-capacity magazine”…

Now, 20 years later, I’m not so sure the second scenario would happen again with most of the deputies I’ve met, but the first one probably would.

On the other hand, I’m sure if I were in Indianapolis, or Gary, I would’ve wound up frisked and searched, and my ID ran, and probably the guns confiscated on some pretext.

Big Cities Suck…!!!
