Fed Ex on Sunday?

Post by GunnyMack »

Just heard a loud THUMP , since the weatherliars have been saying Tstorms I thought it was about to open up. So I looked out the window and see the Fed Ex truck.
Now what did he bring? Oh yes that's right! Scott T sent me his Lyman turret press.

Now I have to dismount my RCBS, layout for the Lyman holes and D&T 3/8-16. My bench top is 3/4 " plywood that I've mounted 1/2" steel plates . The plates allow me to swap presses, trimmers at whim and not worry about tearing up the plywood.
Hopefully one of the RCBS holes will work , saving me a little effort!
Scott, again many thanks !

Thank you Scott, it will certainly have a good home here.

The thunderstorms are here!
The plate has been drilled and tapped.

Once the eletric stuff passes I have to go out to the shop and grab my DeWalt cordless drill and drill counter bore holes in the plywood.
I realized I need to get a new 3/8-16 taper gun tap, this one is older than me and getting dull! ( like me )
Then I can mount the plate and swap between presses by turning a few screws.

Around here FedEx is delivered by USPS on Sundays. Not sure how USPS on overtime can deliver cheaper than FedUps employees?

Same here, post office seems to get the Sunday deliveries.
What rubs me wrong is Midway ships UPS then hands off to USPS - that's when stuff slows down or goes missing!
