I have a CZ Ringneck, my 410.
Other than heavy trigger pulls it's been bullet proof.

I have a Bobwhite G2 in 28 gauge. Dead nuts reliable for these first 500 rounds.

You can't go wrong with a CZ. I'm tempted to get one of their ceracoated 20ga's just for those wet rainy days.

czs do have heavy trigger pulls, my cz pcr has a 11 lb trigger in da mode , but drops down to 5 lbs sa mode, thats so your first trigger pull in da mode is a conscientious one.

In the case of my SxS , the trigger plate had burrs from when the trigger slots were cut by slotting saw. Out of the box the triggers were 10.5 and 11 lbs. Just nocking off the burrs and light stoning they dropped to 5 and about 5.5 lbs. Just a lack of finish work on the Turkish labor force.

It is a sturdy and reliable shotgun but I find most CZs to be somewhat heavy for the gauge. I have a 20ga Bobwhite and it is my foul weather gun. My FAIR Iside is almost a full pound lighter and the stock was made to my dimensions.

Most do -- some are OK.

I've had a Bobwhite 20, a Hammer Classic 12 and now a Project Upland 12 (a double-trigger and upgraded version of the single trigger Sharptail*). The first 2 had heavy trigger pulls, but my Upland is manageable. For the others, I contacted CZ, got a no-charge shipping label (under warranty) and had them shipped, fixed, and returned back in less than 2 weeks. I think one shipped on a Monday and was back to me on Saturday -- nothing but great service by CZ for sure.

* Except that mine was an "Ugly Duckling" when I got it (click for link) -- but the price was nice....

For the money, they're very, very good. Not "great", but very good.

I’m pretty anal about my choices in SxS’s with a definite preference for pre 1940 guns . But I see a good many of the CZ SxS’s come thru the shop and never had I heard any major complaints . About all I ever hear is someone saying they can’t hit with the gun and truth be told they’re doing good to hit a stationary target at 25 yards with a shotgun . We get a lot of folks trundle thru that think dollars remedy inability . But you can’t impress upon them the fact that they need to learn to shoot flying . Anyway enough harping by me .

You shoulda shot the Parker DH 12 gauge 32” straight grip live bird gun I had for awhile . It was factory original no safety and when I got it from RIA it had been reblued recolorcased and wood redone , someone had also seen need to lighten the triggers I dare say down to 3 or so pounds . I found myself setting off the gun when I was coming up behind the target before I swung thru , which tells me my finger tightens up as I approach . Anyway that one went down the road as partial payment for a Parker VH 20 32” . And as you might expect I’ve let that one go as well .

I have a Huglu double in 20. I got it before CZ became the importer but it is what is now the Ringneck. Absolutely beautiful gun and nice to carry. I had a hard time opening it once after firing at a dove but otherwise it has been fine. I don’t hit well with it though. I haven’t shot it enough to figure it out, but I suspect the fit is off as I’m pretty good with my ole Remington 58.

I just checked the triggers on my Bobwhite -- just a few ounces over five pounds each.
