The bullet certainly has better terminal effect but that exposed penetrator is not what I would want , reduced reliability in a battle rifle !
As for the higher pressure who is conning who? Looks like real world pressure barrel needs to be employed. Maybe out of a 14.5" barrel the new stuff is a tad faster but without velocity data ...

I suspect this will be used as a reason not to change calibers, again.

Y all means we must be environmentally conscious while we’re a killing people and blowing stuff up.
