Re: Something to Remember
YES!
The rights in the Constitution and in the Bill of Rights are “unalienable” rights. "Unalienable" means "impossible to take away or give up. They are not given to us by the Constitution. The Constitution, as well as the Declaration of Independence, makes clear that these rights, as well as others not enumerated, are given to us by our Creator and the Bill of Rights was adopted to preserve those God-given rights from the encroachment of government.
The “right of the people to keep and bear arms” is not government given. It is God-given, and government is prohibited from infringing upon this right. People have the right, from their Creator, to possess and use weapons to defend themselves against those who would unjustly take from them their lives, their property or their freedoms. And that includes governments which abuse their powers and take from the people their lives, their property or their freedoms.
If a government removed those rights, that "removal" would be illegal because the government never granted those rights in the first place and has no authority to remove them.

YES! once again showing that Truth is binary, and therefore testable, and preservable. Along the lines of American History Hillsdale College has a lecture series based on an newly written history book. the quote-space below is from my notes on the source and resource. This is super good info explaining the genesis of America . . . home schoolers, grandchildren, and mis-educated adults can all benefit. America, Land of Hope
