Never again will one of my rifle that's leaned against the cleaning bench fall over...
I got this rubber-coated super-strong magnet at a pawn shop and screwed it to the front of my bench. It works slick, as even a light bump will not jar it loose. I've been lucky so far, and no rifles have been damaged, but the last "tip over" scared me -- and it was a levergun too!!!
These are sold on ebay for $10 each, shipped.
Old No7
Not too sure I'd use it this way, but they hold the weight...

I can think of a couple of uses for one but guns slipping from where you put them would be my priority though..

I bought a few plastic two hole U shaped notches years ago and screwed them to the front of my reloading/gunsmithing bench. They're always handy to be able to quickly situate a rifle in the notch and keep them from falling over.
