Seems like the young lady in the burgundy pants was garnering excessive attention.
Is that McPherson in the red "Black Hills" shirt? If so, tell him thanks for my books and the extra copy of Replicating Billy Dixon's Long Shot.
... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.

Mic built this rifle for his late wife Peggy. It’s known as the “Peggy Rifle” and it was the prototype for a number of guns he built over the years. It is skeletonized in other places as well and it weighs 4.5 pounds

I don't recognize the break action she's using. I think my longest shot with a handgun was about 50 yards with a Ruger Mark I in my late teens ... back when I could see that far with open sights. She's a bit more of an advanced shooter than I am ... for sure. Doesn't hurt to be getting expert instruction either ... from a grandparent I suspect. And a passel of others who like to see the younger generation enjoy the shooting sports.

500 yards with a handgun is impressive. 500 yards with a rifle is tougher than most people can truly accomplish, and a handgun has a much shorter sight radius. That handgun must be well made to be capable of such accuracy.

We were fortunate to win it in the raffle and now Miss Kathy has a new sixgun. I will follow up with Rob Leahy about a suitable holster and belt rig.

The "Peggy Rifle". Over 10,000 rounds through it, smooth as silk, light as a feather. Wish the folks in charge of Marlin would take some tips from Mic on setting them up better from the factory.
