Political - Obama's latest gaffe

Post by Ysabel Kid »

If this doesn't scare the stuff out of you, you're not paying attention... :o

"Finally, a gaffe that is far more worrisome than the others: According to Obama, the U.S. 'cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set.' He continued, 'We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.' Whoa there, compadre! (That's a little Spanish there for the man who wants us all to learn it.) Will this 'national security force' also wear brown shirts? Oddly enough, it seems that Obama's campaign realized that wouldn't fly---the line was stricken from the transcripts given to the media, though it is still in the video posted on YouTube." -- Mark Alexander, Patriot Post, 07/18/2008

I'm more worried about all the freedoms that are currently being lost under the bush administration in the name of keeping us safe from some phantom terrorists. Patriot act.. yeah right.

And there I'd been. All along I thought the man was a Communist. I was apparently wrong.

Looks like the man is a National Socialist, aka NAZI.

It's a long clip. Obama's campaign realized that this was yet another example of his penchant of inserting his foot into his mouth, and that the quote would receive a lot (of appropriate) flack and concern, so they scrubbed it from their website and the transcripts. Beautiful thing this Internet - had to erase the truth once it gets out, even with the MSM on one's side! Thank you AlGore!!!

Well sadly there's plenty of them swallowing his stuff. just watched the news showing his "speech" in Berlin. One comment made by some German afterward, was "the new messiah".

THAT'S SCARRY!!!!!

He'd LOVE to lead us right into the UN 100%, and become part of the EU, wiping out all of our American Heritage and distinction.

Thanks for the clip Ysabel. Unfortunately, right when he says "There is no greater challenge then the defense of our nation and our values..." the video comes to an abrupt halt, I guess YouTube decided it was best that we don't hear what he had to say as well.

Heck, it's my stand to never trust any politician that you can't reasonably expect to make and appointment to talk to one on one and face to face. Otherwise they think themselves too busy and too important for that. That is why big government is bad government in my opinion.

Got to them too. For essentially being a twerp with no experience, Obama seems to swing some weight. His handlers are what scare me the most - I think the man himself is a textbook example of Affirmative Action - no brains himself whatsoever.

jeeeeeeeeeeee...what's it about obama i trust? lessee...ummmmmmm...errrrrrrrrr...ahhhhh...uhhh...dang...there must be sumpthin'...

...and i believe his wife to be just as trustworthy...NOT!!!! that woman is TROUBLE! she's living proof that the best education, training and environment still cannot change "a sows ear into a silk purse"...

even al gore or john kerry would have been a better choice than this guy...come to think about it...i'm not sure of any choice being the best right now...

i do suspect obama will accelerate our deterioration IF he gets elected...

i see obama as a 'closet' muslim...us "infidels" will be put to the "back of the bus" (or thrown under it) if he gets elected.

'We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.'

I think we already have one. It's us. The citizen militia.

We are much better funded and armed since we bought new arms with our stimulus checks.

We need to work on increasing the number of public ranges and ammo available for practice.

The alarming message from his speech to me is the "one world" crappola. And the focus on our imperfections. What leader gives speeches that include the negative aspects of their country? What kind of salesmanship is that? All countries have made mistakes, who talks about them?

Who gives a stuff about what the Euros think about us. Do the right thing and make no excuses. Let them think what they want.

Found an unedited version on Hotair.com, and seems to be one of those 'out of context' statements. He was talking about calling us all to service to make the world a better place, 'a civilian national security force' to spread hope and love all across the world, not some jack booted thugs to keep us in our place. Sounds a bit more like the drivel that spews out of a Hippie than a Hitler. Still, the 'just as well funded' bit is worrisome, only one way to pay for it, TAXES!

Do you guys seriously think he's going to get elected? At least he bumped Hilary off the chart.

It's always possible, but I think he's a little too obvious, too far to the left, for the undecided middle to swallow.

The radical left may think he's great, but they are a minority still.

I saw a photo of him in front of thousands of cheering Germans, looking like God. What is he doing campaigning in Germany? Are they going to vote him in?

Maybe his handlers think Europe is so hip that we'll vote for him to show how hip we are. Or maybe he's trying to see if he can get lucky with chicks who don't shave their armpits.

Agreed - that is how it would start - as an indoctrination program for young adults, and as an excuse for more taxes!
